Noise-absorbing nonwoven adhesive tap
(Product under development)

A thin, lightweight "noise-absorbing nonwoven fabric" is coated with a "water-based acrylic adhesive" that offers excellent workability.

Currently, Mitsui Chemicals ICT Materia is exploring the development of a product that combines both "noise-absorbing nonwoven fabric" and "water-based acrylic coating" technologies in order to make noise absorption functions, which are essential for ensuring the reliability and safety of electronic devices, easier to use.

Overview of noise-absorbing nonwoven adhesive tape

This product is a noise reduction adhesive tape made by coating a thin and lightweight "noise-absorbing nonwoven fabric" with a "water-based acrylic adhesive" that offers excellent workability.
In addition to the recent increase in small electronic devices due to the proliferation of AI and IoT, the demand for advanced EMC countermeasures in the automotive and defense industries is steadily growing. This product is proposed as a new noise suppression solution to meet these market needs.

Main Features

  • Broadband and high-frequency noise countermeasures
This sheet supports a wide frequency range and offers high noise suppression. Made from non-magnetic materials, it is highly effective in countermeasures against radio wave problems (EMC/EMI) in high-frequency environments such as 5G.
  • Thin, light, and flexible
Because it is a thin, lightweight, and flexible nonwoven fabric base material, it can be adapted to complex shapes such as uneven surfaces.
  • Water-based acrylic adhesive that allows for repositioning (rework).
It uses a water-based acrylic adhesive that is easy to apply and peel off. This allows for repositioning during installation, significantly improving work efficiency, including alignment.
  • Efficient construction through the use of a "surface"
Because it can be applied in a wide width, it can be used not only as a "line" tape, but also as a "surface" such as on walls.
