・オリジナル製品 F+BAND(圧迫感なく固定)/F+GRIP(汗でも滑りにくい):応用事例として直接ご提案。

Reducing Organic Solvents and Drying Processes in Adhesion with Hot Melt Sheets | Achieving Eco-Friendly Adhesion with Small Lots, Small Quantity, and Short Delivery Times

Reducing Organic Solvents and Drying Processes in Adhesion with Hot Melt Sheets | Achieving Eco-Friendly Adhesion with Small Lots, Small Quantity, and Short Delivery Times

"We want to eliminate organic solvent odors from the adhesion process," "We want to reduce drying oven space and electricity bills," "We want to test in small quantities or small lots," "We want die-cut shapes"—to address these challenges, we propose our thermoplastic adhesive sheets, "Hot Melt Sheets." Available in sheet and film forms, you can cut and use only the required amount, and adhesion can be achieved via heat pressing with an iron or similar equipment. We supply a wide range of grades—including olefin-based, polyester-based, urethane-based, PVC, multi-layer products, and custom composite materials—in small quantities and small lots with short delivery times, starting from just a few A4 sheets. Three Major Adhesive Challenges: Organic Solvent Odor, Drying Process, and the Wall of Small-Lot Purchases At production sites using adhesives, three major obstacles are frequently heard:(1) Odors and handling difficulties associated with solvent-based adhesives,(2) Line occupancy and high electricity bills caused by drying ovens and curing times,(3) Existing suppliers failing to respond to needs such as "We only want a small amount for testing" or "We want to die-cut into a special shape."Particularly in areas close to the human body or precision parts, such as food packaging, hygiene products, and electronic components, shifting to an adhesion method that does not use organic solvents has become an urgent matter. On the other hand, during development and prototyping phases, flexible responses like "We want to evaluate performance with a few A4 sheets" or "We want to die-cut into the shape of our own product" are required.● Scenarios where this becomes apparent: Prototyping phases for new product development / Improvement of existing line environments (solvent-free shift) / Compliance with safety regulations for hygiene products and food packaging / Production startup for electronic components (FFCs, tab leads, etc.) / Assembly process improvement for automotive parts.● Main impacts: Workplace environment deterioration due to organic solvent odors and VOC emissions, power consumption and floor space occupancy from the drying process, increased prototype costs caused by large procurement lots, and development stagnation due to unfulfilled requests for special shapes. Why Going Solvent-Free Is Delayed: The Triple Hurdle of Applicable Resins, Shape Accommodation, and Small-Lot Sales The hot melt method inherently offers major advantages, as it enables adhesion through heat pressing alone without solvents and eliminates the need for a drying process. However, the primary reasons for delayed adoption at production sites lie in a triple hurdle:(1) Difficulty finding a resin grade that matches the substrates (PP, PE, PET, metal, fabric, etc.),(2) Lack of commercial distribution channels that can arrange the required thickness, size, and die-cut shape from a small lot,(3) Limited number of suppliers possessing application-specific expertise, such as for FFC reinforcement plates and secondary battery tab leads. As a result, despite the desire to go solvent-free, a situation persists where companies cannot break away from conventional solvent-based adhesives.● Grounds for identification: Customer site hearings regarding substrate and adhesive strength requirements, melting point and characteristic comparisons across various resin systems (olefin / polyester / urethane / PVC / composite materials), and cross-referencing internal evaluation data for A4 prototypes. Countermeasures Attempted So Far and Their Limits Enhanced ventilation for solvent-based adhesives and drying oven expansion (environmental burdens and costs remain), replacement with double-sided tape or hot glue (insufficient strength, heat resistance, and shape flexibility), in-house heat molding of general-purpose hot melt raw materials (excessive prototyping costs and unstable quality), and direct importation of overseas products (large minimum lots preventing prototyping). In all cases, either "solvent-free shift," "small-lot prototyping," or "special shape accommodation" was missing.Based on these limitations, we adopted the following approach as a more fundamental solution. Solution Approach: Proposing Resin-Based Grades × Small-Lot/Small-Quantity Supply × Die-Cutting & Composite Processing Melt only the required amount for immediate adhesion Die-cutting into any desired shape is possible From a broad lineup including olefin, polyester, urethane, PVC, multi-layer, and composite materials, we propose the optimal grade matching your substrates, heat resistance conditions, and adhesive strength. Furthermore, we accommodate sheet shapes, die-cutting processing, and custom composite materials (such as flame-retardant VTM-0 equivalent products) for only the required amount, supplying them in small quantities and small lots with short delivery times starting from just a few A4 sheets. STEP. 01 Substrate/Condition Hearing and Grade Selection We conduct hearings on the materials to be bonded (PP, PE, PET, metal, fabric, etc.), required adhesive strength, heat resistance, elasticity, low-temperature adhesion necessity, and expected pressing temperature. We present the optimal grade from olefin-based (heat resistance, low-temperature adhesion), polyester-based (high adhesion to PET/metal), urethane-based (elasticity), PVC (low cost), and others. STEP. 02 Immediate Shipment of A4 Samples and Customer Evaluation We also respond to consultations like "We just want a few A4 sheets for testing." We immediately ship small lots with release sheets, allowing you to perform heat pressing tests using an iron or similar equipment within your company. Consultations for die-cutting special shapes, such as star or wave shapes, are also available. STEP. 03 Application-Specific Custom Composite Materials and Mass Production Supply We plan and mass-produce custom-made products tailored to each application, such as covering materials for FFC wires (flame-retardant VTM-0 equivalent composite materials), multi-layer products for secondary battery tab leads, solar cell backsheets, and PET bottle body-wrap labels. We ensure a stable supply in various thicknesses, widths, and lengths, centering around 30 to 150 μm thicknesses. Fuji Chemi Trading's Supply System: Headquarters × Mito Processing Center × Japanese Manufacturer Collaboration This solution is established through a clear division of roles among multiple bases:・ Headquarters / Sales & Technical: Substrate and required physical property hearings, resin grade proposals, sharing of application examples (food, electronics, automotive), and sample coordination.・ Mito Processing Center: Accommodating sheet cutting, slitting, and die-cutting processes, immediate shipment of small A4 samples, and composite material prototype support.・ Partner Manufacturers: Joint development of custom composite materials and various hot melt master rolls such as olefin, polyester, and urethane systems.● Supply System: We handle both roll products and cut products in small quantities and small lots with short delivery times. We provide comprehensive support from testing consultations for just a few A4 sheets to continuous supply during mass production. Results of Implementation By replacing solvent-based adhesives with hot melt sheets, we have simultaneously achieved:(1) Zero organic solvent odors and VOC emissions,(2) Process shortening, floor space reduction, and electricity reduction by eliminating drying ovens,(3) Reduced material loss by cutting and using only the required amount,(4) Improved assembly precision through die-cut accommodation.Since work can begin with small A4 quantities from the prototyping stage, development speed has also been significantly shortened.● KPI Candidates: VOC emission reduction / Drying process power consumption reduction / Assembly man-hours reduction / Defect rate reduction / Prototyping lead time reduction / Material loss rate reduction.● Implementation Lead Time: Samples of a few A4 sheets can be shipped immediately. After mass production specifications are finalized, we provide short delivery times in wound rolls or cut shapes. Anticipated Ripple Effects and Horizontal Expansion The benefits of implementing this solution extend beyond solving the primary issues. Please utilize this as material for internal and management proposals.・Promoting solvent-free practices in human-contact areas such as food packaging and hygiene products → Safety regulation compliance and brand value improvement・Extension to mass-produced items in electronic and energy fields, such as FFC reinforcement plates, secondary battery tab leads, and solar cell backsheets・Simplification and automation of assembly processes for automotive mats, PET bottle labels, clear cases, etc.・Joint development expansion into components with strict regulatory requirements, such as flame-retardant VTM-0 equivalent products・Moisture-proof and waterproof proposals for joining metal/olefin parts by combining with water-based olefin adhesives Differences from Competitors: Why Fuji Chemi Trading is Chosen While many trading companies only sell master rolls, we provide a one-stop service covering "grade proposals + small-quantity small-lot supply + die-cutting/cutting at our Mito Processing Center + custom composite material planning." Being able to conduct prototype evaluations starting from just a few A4 sheets and possessing an accumulation of specialized applications—such as FFC reinforcement plates, secondary battery tab leads, and flame-retardant composite materials—is our unique strength. Furthermore, we can offer combination proposals with adjacent products, such as water-based olefin adhesives (where the application area can be checked under a blacklight). Product Information & Specification Overview The main specifications of products with a proven track record can be selected from multiple grades depending on the application and required conditions. Food Packaging Corrugated Cardboard Bookbinding Diapers & Sanitary Products Clear Cases Solar Cell Backsheets Automotive Mats Straw Attachments PET Bottle Body-Wrap Labels FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) What are the main applications? They span a wide variety of areas, including electronic components (FFC reinforcement plates, secondary battery tab leads), electric wires, vehicles, emblems, apparel, printed wiring, furniture materials, building materials, food packaging, and hygiene products. We want just a few A4 sheets for testing; is that possible? Yes, we can prepare them. Please inform us of your substrates, expected pressing temperature, and required number of sheets. We will ship them with a short delivery time. How do we choose the right resin system that matches our substrate? Based on the rule of thumb, we propose olefin-based for PP/PE, polyester-based for PET/metal, urethane-based for fabrics or when elasticity is required, and PVC when low cost is prioritized, while also taking heat resistance conditions and adhesive strength into account. Is die-cutting or special shape processing possible? Yes, we can accommodate die-cutting processing tailored to the shapes you want to bond, such as star or wave shapes. Our Mito Processing Center handles both prototyping and mass production. Can you accommodate composite materials with flame-retardant specifications? We have a track record with flame-retardant VTM-0 equivalent products (Custom-Made) that integrate flame-retardant hot melt and PET film. They are adopted for covering materials for FFC wires and other applications. Do you also handle water-based adhesives? We handle water-based olefin adhesives (special adhesives). They have good compatibility with metals and their application area can be visually checked under a blacklight, so they are adopted as waterproof and moisture-proof materials for electronic components, electric wires, and vehicle applications.

Root-Zone Water Retention for Drought and High-Temperature Stress Countermeasures | On-Site Demonstration Solutions for Biodegradable Superabsorbent Polymers (EF Polymer)

Root-Zone Water Retention for Drought and High-Temperature Stress Countermeasures | On-Site Demonstration Solutions for Biodegradable Superabsorbent Polymers (EF Polymer)

For regions where seedlings must be raised with limited irrigation, such as during prolonged dry seasons or in sandy soils, we propose a combination of the biodegradable superabsorbent polymer "EF Polymer" and a root-zone water retention process based on local verification. Starting with demonstrations in Nigeria, we are driving global expansion into the agriculture, afforestation, and greening sectors. The Water Shortage Challenge of "Prolonged Dry Seasons × Sandy Soil" Occurring in Nigeria As dry seasons lengthen and rainfall becomes unpredictable, limited irrigation is absorbed by sandy soil before reaching the root zone, making survival rates and growth unstable. Securing and efficiently utilizing agricultural water has become urgent. Even if the irrigation volume is increased, water escapes in sandy soil, leading only to soaring costs.● Scenarios where this becomes apparent: Overseas farmland and afforestation sites. Backed by the prolongation of dry seasons due to climate change.● Main impacts: Decrease in seedling survival rates, uneven growth, and deterioration of crop yields and afforestation success rates. Why Increasing Irrigation Does Not Solve the Problem: Dual Factors of Natural Elements and Soil Physical Properties In addition to natural factors (prolonged dry seasons and unpredictable rainfall), the water retention capability of sandy soil is low, making it impossible to retain water in the root zone.● Grounds for identification: Observations at local fields and control test data. Countermeasures Attempted So Far and Their Limits Increasing irrigation volume (limited by water costs and labor) and water-retaining mulch materials (washed away by wind and rain).Based on these limitations, we adopted the following approach as a more fundamental solution. Solution Approach: EF Polymer × Local Control Tests × Packaging of the Application Process Proposing a new material (biodegradable superabsorbent polymer) combined with collaboration between overseas bases and partner trading companies, and designing a root-zone water retention process based on local verification (control tests). STEP. 01 New Material Proposal Selecting EF Polymer (biodegradable superabsorbent polymer) STEP. 02 Local Control Tests Optimizing application and irrigation processes for each crop and soil condition STEP. 03 Leveraging Partner Networks Supplying locally through overseas bases and overseas partner trading companies Fuji Chemi Trading's Supply System: Headquarters × Overseas Bases / Overseas Partner Trading Companies × Partner Manufacturers This solution is established through a clear division of roles among multiple bases:・Headquarters / Sales: Project promotion and inquiry contact window・Overseas Bases / Overseas Partner Trading Companies: Local sales and distribution・Partner Manufacturers: EF Polymer supply and physical property data provision● Supply System: Verification in local fields → Packaging and supplying the application process. Results of Implementation Soil water retention capability is improved, stabilizing seedling survival and crop growth even with limited irrigation.● KPI Candidates: Improvement in survival rate / Growth volume per unit of irrigation / Crop yield / Afforestation success rate.● Implementation Lead Time: Phased operation from local verification to establishing the application process and formal implementation. Anticipated Ripple Effects and Horizontal Expansion The benefits of implementing this solution extend beyond solving the primary issues. Please utilize this as material for internal and management proposals.・Opportunities to participate in ODA and international organization (FAO, JICA, etc.) projects・Expansion into sectors other than agriculture (greening, turf, urban heat island countermeasures)・Since EF Polymer is biodegradable, it serves as a strong appeal for "plastic-free" and "prevention of soil contamination"・Brand enhancement through connection with climate change adaptation and SDGs (Goals 2, 6, 13, and 15) Differences from Competitors: Why Fuji Chemi Trading is Chosen Trading companies exporting polymers standalone have thin on-site verification know-how. Fuji Chemi can provide a one-stop service of "material supply + local control tests + application process design." Product Information & Specification Overview The main specifications of products with a proven track record can be selected from multiple grades depending on the application and required conditions. Representative specifications are as follows (please contact us for detailed specs). Overseas Procurement + Domestic Slitting of PET Film for Power Cables | Cost Reduction While Maintaining Equivalent Quality

Overseas Procurement + Domestic Slitting of PET Film for Power Cables | Cost Reduction While Maintaining Equivalent Quality

In response to the risks of rising domestic PET film prices and supply chain factors, we offer a combined package of new overseas PET film sourcing and domestic slitting services for power cable manufacturers seeking both cost improvement and stable supply. With our three-pronged advantage of "Equivalent Quality × Cost Reduction × Domestic Support," we contribute to maintaining the competitiveness of your cable selling prices. Deteriorating Cost-to-Sales Ratio of Power Cables and Demands for "Equivalent Quality × Cost Reduction" The goal is to reduce the procurement cost of PET film for power cables, while maintaining quality equivalent to conventional products.Domestic products offer stability but come at a high price. Overseas products feature attractive pricing but raise concerns regarding quality and logistics.●Scenarios where this becomes apparent: Continuous cost structure review phases. Initiated by proposals from Fuji Chemi.●Main impacts: Deterioration of the cost-to-sales ratio, decline in cable selling price competitiveness. Why Domestic Price Renegotiations Have Reached Their Limit: Price Increases and Supply Chain Factors Rising prices of domestic PET film and supply chain factors (extended lead times).●Specific Rationale: Prototype evaluation of overseas PET candidates, demand volume estimations. Measures Tried So Far and Their Limitations Price renegotiations for domestic products (limited impact), consideration of direct import of overseas PET (burden of customs clearance and slitting processes).Based on these limitations, we adopted the following approach as a more fundamental solution. Solution Approach: New Overseas Supplier Sourcing × Domestic Stock × Slitting Process By sourcing from new overseas manufacturers and combining it with domestic inventory + slitting processing, we maintain the same delivery conditions for customers as conventional products. STEP. 01 Overseas Supplier Sourcing Discovering overseas PET that matches required physical properties STEP. 02 Domestic Stock Holding buffer stock at the Mito Processing Center STEP. 03 Slitting Process Short lead time supply at customer-specified widths Fuji Chemi Trading's Supply System: Headquarters × Mito Processing Center × Overseas Manufacturers This solution is established through the division of roles across multiple locations.・Headquarters / Domestic Sales: Customer contact window and cost proposals・Mito Processing Center: Acceptance inspection, slitting, and inventory management・Overseas Bases / Manufacturers: Import of master rollsSupply system: Immediate delivery with customer-specified slitting from domestic stock. Results Achieved Through Implementation Replicating equivalent quality even with overseas products. Simultaneously providing cost reduction, inventory, and slitting services.●KPI Candidates: Procurement cost reduction / Maintaining zero quality complaints / Inventory reduction on the customer side.●Implementation Lead Time: Gradual transition from demand confirmation to prototyping, and then to mass production switching. Expected Ripple Effects and Horizontal Rollout The effects of implementing this solution extend beyond solving the primary challenge. Please also utilize this as material for internal and management-level proposals.・Horizontal rollout to other PET applications in the wire and insulation fields (battery separators, tapes, laminates)・Proposing alternatives for global raw material procurement by leveraging overseas sourcing expertise・Can also be used as a price negotiation tool with domestic suppliers・Expansion into "multi-sourcing" proposals from a BCP perspective Difference from Competitors: Why Fuji Chemi Trading is Chosen Unlike general trading companies that only perform direct import of overseas PET, Fuji Chemi combines it with "domestic slitting and inventory support," enabling both mass production quality maintenance and short delivery times. Product Information & Specification Overview The main specifications of products with a track record of adoption can be selected from multiple grades depending on the application and required conditions. Representative specifications are as follows (please contact us for detailed specifications). Thermal Barrier Paint Solution to Reduce Factory Electricity Bills in Thailand | Arranging Local Application Partners | Collaboration Across 3 Bases: China, Thailand, and Vietnam

In the Thai manufacturing industry, continuous increases in electricity rates and prolonged dry seasons have caused factory electricity bills—primarily for air conditioning—to squeeze profits. Focusing on the application of thermal barrier paint to roofs, we provide one-stop support ranging from electricity bill reduction simulations to the arrangement of local application partners and localized currency quoting. As a realistic solution to lower running costs with low investment and short construction periods, this has already been adopted by multiple Japanese factories. Soaring Electricity Bills in Thailand: What Was Happening Inside the Factories? Electricity rates in Thailand have undergone repeated increases due to fuel cost adjustments, making the pressure on production costs a chronic issue. Especially in factories with large roof areas, coupled with the prolonged high temperatures of the dry season, air conditioning systems run at full capacity constantly, inflating annual electricity bills to a level that demands executive-level management decisions. On the other hand, upgrading power reception and transformation equipment or installing solar power presents high hurdles regarding initial investment, construction periods, and the shutdown of existing facilities, leaving many facilities unable to take action."We want to lower our electricity bills. We also want to deliver results in the context of SDGs and CO2 reduction. However, we cannot commit to capital expenditure on equipment."——We hear these exact concerns from numerous Japanese factories operating local subsidiaries. Why Aren't Electricity Bills Dropping? Radiant Heat from the Roof Keeps Air Conditioning Running Constantly The root cause revealed through on-site inspections and roof surface temperature measurements is a structural issue: the roof and exterior walls lack heat-insulating performance, allowing radiant heat to flow directly into the interior. In some cases, the roof surface temperature exceeds 70°C during the day, and this heat warms up the ceiling space and indoor air, meaning the air conditioning cannot keep up no matter how much it cools.Furthermore, factory buildings in Southeast Asia often have outdated insulation specifications, so upgrading air conditioning units alone rarely provides a fundamental solution—this is the main reason why many hesitate when considering upgrading existing facilities. The basis for identifying this cause comes from cross-referencing the following two points:・Reviewing current electricity bill data provided by the customer・Measuring roof surface temperatures and checking roofing materials during on-site inspectionsBy matching these two datasets, we can conclude with near certainty that "heat inflow from the roof is the dominant factor." Countermeasures Attempted Thus Far and Their Limitations Countermeasures already attempted by many factories share the following common limitations:・ Adjusting HVAC operating hours: The effect is limited, and the system still faces high loads during production hours.・ Considering heat-insulating film application on the roof: Frequently abandoned due to hurdles in cost and construction periods.・ Considering retrofitting insulation materials to existing equipment: Requires halting existing equipment during construction, resulting in too great an impact on production.Given these limitations, thermal barrier paint emerges as the realistic solution—a move that "reduces heat inflow from the roof without stopping existing operations." Solution Approach: Thermal Barrier Paint × Electricity Bill Simulation × Local Application Partners By focusing on top-coating existing roofs with thermal barrier paint and providing the following three components as a complete package, we lower the hurdle for customers to make the decision to "give it a try." STEP. 01 Sourcing Alternative Materials and Replacements We perform a matrix comparison of both Japanese and local manufacturer products based on required performance, roof material compatibility, and cost to select the optimal thermal barrier paint grade. Focusing primarily on products with a proven track record in Thailand, we also obtain evaluation data from cooperating manufacturers as needed. STEP. 02 Presentation of Electricity Bill Reduction Simulations Based on current electricity bill data, HVAC operating hours, roof area, and insulation specifications, we will estimate the post-application electricity bill reduction effects and the payback period. Visualizing the "numbers" necessary for management decisions significantly accelerates the internal approval speed. STEP. 03 Selection of Local Construction Partners and Quotations in Local Currency Leveraging our Thai base as a starting point, we select reliable local application partners and optimize pricing and lead times via local currency quoting. We also propose process designs that minimize the impact on your production, including night/weekend application and split-phase application block by block. FUJICHEMI TRADING's Support Framework: A Powerful Triad of Japan HQ, Thai Base, and Cooperating Manufacturers This solution is realized through a clear division of roles among three parties: Japan HQ (Sales/Technical), our Thai base, and cooperating manufacturers.・ HQ (Sales/Technical): Selects coatings / Prepares electricity bill reduction simulations / Supports decision-making for adopting companies・ Thai Base (Local Subsidiary): Conducts on-site inspections, selects application partners, and provides local currency quoting/contracting / Manages application and construction / Provides after-sales support・ Cooperating Manufacturers: Supplies thermal barrier paint / Assists in grade selection / Provides evaluation data● Supply Framework: Local inventory support and small-lot application are available. This enables a small-start introduction where you can first test the effects on a single building before rolling it out across subsequent buildings. Results of Adoption: Simultaneously Achieving Running Cost Reductions and Workplace Environment Improvements We have received the following qualitative and quantitative result reports from adopting companies:・ Reduction in factory running costs (electricity bills): Achieved a reduction (▲) in electricity bills based on actual customer data.・ Lower indoor and roof surface temperatures: Stabilized summer production efficiency due to improvements in perceived temperature.・ Visualization of the payback period: Increased the precision of management decisions, accelerating subsequent rollout evaluations.・ Rollout track record: Cases exist where introduction to a single building led to expansion across additional buildings and sister factories.● Introduction Lead Time: Rapid turnaround is possible from the initial consultation through estimation to test painting. Anticipated Ripple Effects and Rollouts: 3 Returns Beyond Just Electricity Bill Reductions The effects of adopting thermal barrier paint extend far beyond electricity bill reductions. Please utilize these cascading ripple effects triggered by "heat mitigation" as supporting material for your internal proposals.1. Workplace Environment Improvement → Lower Turnover Rates and Higher ProductivityBy mitigating the extreme heat directly beneath the roof, the workload on workers during hot seasons is reduced. As securing and retaining operators is a pressing management issue in Thai manufacturing sites, improving the workplace environment directly links to lower turnover rates and enhanced productivity.2. Contribution to SDGs and CO2 Reduction ReportsElectricity bill reductions can be directly quantified as carbon emission reductions, leading to immediate score improvements in CSR and supplier evaluations. In an era where global headquarters' procurement standards closely scrutinize "suppliers' CO2 reduction track records," leaving behind quantitative data holds great value.3. Extending the Service Life of Rooftop EquipmentLowering the roof surface temperature reduces thermal stress on outdoor HVAC units and solar panel peripheral equipment, which can be expected to extend equipment life. This creates a double benefit: electricity bill savings combined with delaying future equipment replacement costs.Furthermore, for customers who establish a proven track record of introduction in Thailand, we can also support the horizontal rollout of identical proposals to your factory bases in Vietnam and China. Differences from Competitors: Why Choose FUJICHEMI TRADING? Compared to competitors that only sell coating products (paint manufacturers' direct sales and local chemical trading companies), our unique strength lies in our ability to provide a seamless, end-to-end service encompassing "electricity bill simulations + local application partner arrangements + local currency settlement." Our network, which bridges Japanese-level quality and localized cost structures, is the reason we continue to be chosen.・Difference from Manufacturers' Direct SalesThey do not provide simulations or arrange application partners, requiring customers to handle these arrangements individually.・Difference from Local Paint DistributorsWe offer selection based on Japanese quality standards, along with technical support in Japanese and proposal materials tailored for executive-level management.
